The ACLU can be very creative and weird these days in the way they do outreach. Anthony Romero’s marketing crew has been taking lessons from and the other progressive market-to-live-to-market organizations on the left, but at least the ACLU turns out real results.

Today I got email from them asking if I thought they should keep worrying about whether the NSA is monitoring our email and other online communications. Yes? Or No?

Well, I clicked yes. unsurprisingly, and got a rather amusing set of instructions for how to set my gmail signature to raise consciousness among my email correspondents that we are under “constant, suspicionless surveillance.”  (Instructions for Gmail, Yahoo! and Outlook are included.  All companies that are, of course, being monitored.  Heh.)
